Day 1
Monday, April 15, 2024
Arrive in Thessaloniki. Check into your hotel.
Rest from your travel or enjoy the local amenities. You can walk the ancient port viewing the White Tower.
Day 2
Tuesday, April 16, 2024
From Thessaloniki, we will take a two-hour bus ride to ancient Neapolis, where Paul landed with Timothy, Silas, and Luke. It has a lovely port and is also a wonderful time for mid-morning coffee. We will then visit Philippi. We will return by bus to Thessaloniki. You will stay overnight in Thessaloniki.
Site Relevance:
Macedonian Call; Paul lands in Neapolis; Paul preached his first evangelical sermon and baptized the first Christians on European soil; baptismal site where Lydia surrendered her life to Christ.
Day 3
Wednesday, April 17, 2024
We will have an overview of Thessaloniki and view the old city ramparts and an ancient Roman monument which was transformed into a church. We will then visit Berea. We will travel on to Athens via bus, stopping along the way for lunch. We will arrive in Athens and your remaining stay will be in Athens/Glyfada.

Paul spoke about the “more noble” church.
Day 4
Thursday, April 18, 2024
From Athens we will visit the Acropolis, Mars Hill, and the Acropolis Museum.
Additional sites: The House of Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Olympic Stadium, and the Presidential Palace.
Time for shopping and evening dinner at Traditional Greek Folk Restaurant.
Site Relevance:
Athens: foundation of democracy; Paul preached the truth to the Gentile nation.
Day 5
Friday, April 19, 2024
From Athens we will visit Ancient Corinth and the Corinth Canal. Holy Communion in Ancient Corinth.
Site Relevance:
City that inspired many of Paul’s most familiar letters; highlight for the New Testament scholar.
Day 6
Saturday, April 20, 2024
Morning drive along the Athens Riviera to Sounion. We will convene that evening at Glyfada Christian Center for the WE European Gathering in Worship and Word.
Day 7
Sunday, April 21, 2024
MORNING: WE European Gathering in Worship and Word
Depart late Sunday or early Monday.
